Miranda <br />Kawcak, mine representatives and Jennifer Johnson, intern, were present throughout the inspection. Afternoon <br />clouds rolled in and temperatures were in the mid 60 degress F. <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Main haul roads and access roads were dry. No offsite air quality issues or hydrologic impacts were <br />observed at the time of inspection. Reclamation and vegetation appeared in good condition. Shop area <br />appeared in good condition. <br /> <br />ROADS Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3), 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4), 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br />and (6) 4.03.2(5) and (6). <br />o Roads in and around the facilities appeared in good condition and functioning adequately. <br />o No fugitive dust was noted. <br />o No rutted areas or standing water were noted. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE- Rule 4.05 <br />General Requirements 4.05.1; Effluent Standards 4.05.2; Divergence and Conveyance of Overland <br />Flow 4.05.3;Diversions 4.05.4; Sediment Control Measures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7; <br />Impoundments 4.05.9; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Underground Mine Entry 4.05.10; Surface <br />and Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13;Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> <br />The following ponds were visited: Pond 5, 6, 8, 16 and 17. Unless noted below, spillways appeared <br />in good repair, with flumes functioning correctly, pond banks appeared stable, exhibiting established <br />vegetation. Contour ditches observed appeared to be functioning adequately, no breaches were visible. <br />o Constructed drainages observed appeared stable, well armored and in good repair. <br />o Pond 5 exhibited stable banks and no issues (photos 1 and 2). <br />o Pond 6 exhibits a soil slump above.
