No blading/grading will be required for the construction of new access routes. <br />2. GCC will apply for Ute Mountain Ute Water Pollution Prevention permits, if <br />necessary. <br />3. Drill-hole locations will be located no closer than 200 feet from any intermittent or <br />ephemeral channels, ditches, or canals. <br />4. Sites are located on relatively level ground.' <br />5. When possible, existing topography would be retained. cif <br />6. During construction and drilling activities, GCC will control access to the drill sites <br />and access roads. „ <br />7. No Ponderosa pine or fir trees will be removed for any reason.' <br />C. Operations <br />1. Any lubricant, oil or grease, or fuel spills will be removed from the spill area as quickly as <br />possible. <br />2. All wastes and contaminated soils will be removed and disposed of at a permitted facility. <br />3. Water will be used to provide a mist to control dust. <br />4. The Operator shall immediately notify the BLM authorized officer of any discovery of <br />paleontological resources on or within eight feet of the surface. The operator shall suspend all <br />activities in the vicinity of such discovery until notified to proceed by the Authorized Officer and <br />shall protect the discovery from damage or looting. <br />D. Reclamation <br />1. Upon abandonment, all exploration holes will be filled in accordance with drill hole <br />plugging procedures that meet State and BLM requirements. Bentonite chips or plug gel, <br />or a similar seal will be established from the bottom of the hole and extend to within ten <br />feet of the surface. Plugging material will be poured into each hole at the recommended <br />product rate for the size hole and type of plug material to prevent bridging. A cement seal <br />will be set in the holes, from ten feet below the surface to within three feet of the surface. <br />Oncedrilling and sampling activities have been completed, all disturbed areas would be <br />reclaimed as described in section 2.1.4 (Reclamation) of the EA (DOl-BLM-CO-SOJ 0- <br />2014-0025) and below. <br />2. Topsoil will be removed and stockpiled prior to cuttings pit excavation to prevent <br />contamination, minimize erosion loss, and to aid in reclamation. <br />
