EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
RECLAMA TION PLAN
The proposed future uses include industrial area, lake area and
rangeland. The Plant Site will continue to be used for indus-
trial purposes when reclamation is done . The lake will need
little reclamation and the remaining newly mined areas that above
water will be revegetated as rangeland.
After mining and reclamation is completed. A quiet lake area
that covers approximately 29 . 32 acres ± will be created when
mining ends (see MAP EXHIBIT F) . Deep Cut plans to use the lake and
surrounding area as a private recreation area and the unmined
portions of the Plant Site as industrial area per the county use
permit . The property will have a variety of grasses planted to
stabilize the soil , reduce erosional damage, enhance the wildlife
habitat, and emphasize the natural beauty of the land. The
landowner may choose to plant trees around the site, but at no
time will we commit to planting trees on the permit area .
If the northeast area is redisturbed, the topsoil\growth medium
salvaged from that area will be placed along the north line on
the setback/perimeter of the mined area. Any growth medium
salvaged from the plant site area will be saved for use on the
lake perimeter in that area. Growth medium will be placed along
the setbacks to minimize the effect of mid-plan stoppage since it
would only have to be pushed onto the above water slopes to
prepare the seed bed.
The mine will be sloped so that stormwater is directed to the
existing lake, that will remain when mining ends . The setbacks
will leave a level area around the lake that will be graded so
any surface water runoff will flow to the property interior and
will be retained on site . This setback will allow access to the
property line and land around the lake for the landowners . When
sloping is complete the side slopes and setback area will be
resoiled and revegetated using the approved seed mixture . The
reclamation timetable shows the amount of land in each reclama-
tion area when complete .
The area to be revegetated will be returned to at least it ' s
present vegetative condition when reclamation is complete, except
in the Plant Site where industrial uses are allowed. This area
12
