MINING PLAN EXHIBIT D(CONT)
MINING PLAN
Mining will start in 2016 or as soon there after as all permits
are obtained and run from 26 to 35 years depending on the amount
of material available and market demands . This estimated life is
based on an average of 20, 000 tons per year removal . Please
refer to MAP EXHIBITC-1 -MINING PLAN MAP for location of the areas dis-
cussed in the following text .
The Plant Site area not mined will be graded and shaped on the
west side of the existing lake and the access roads will be
improved to facilitate hauling from the site . The Plant Site
will be used to store mined materials until it is needed.
Mining will begin on the west side of the large lake where we
plan to removed material for a 1 . 34 acre area that divides the
large lake from the small lake . Once this area is done, mining
will begin on the east side of the plant site area and work west
and south following the gravel deposit . Some of the old plant
site may have been mined so once the gravel limit is reached
slopes will be created into the lake . The RECLAMATION PLAN MAP shows
how we think this will play out . When this is done mining will
begin on the on the west end of the old material piles and move
east until that material is gone . The mine will be operated as a
dry mine during the approximate 13 years or until the stockpiled
material is removed. Hauling will take place directly from the
stockpiles . We estimate it will take another 14 years to removed
the sand and gravel from under the waste pile area. Material
removed on the gravel deposit will be done using a track-hoe .
The underwater slopes will be shaped 3h: ly as the lake shores are
reached. The mined material will be stored in the Plant Site area
until needed or sold.
Wet mining will resume on the east side of the mining area and
work west . A track-hoe will be used during wet mining and the
working face will be mined near lh to lv. As mining starts along
the east side a stake line will be placed 25 feet from the permit
line to establish the top of slope line . An additional 20 to 25
feet , depending on the depth of the gravel, will be staked to
establish the dig line . This area will provide the underwater
slope material needed to fill in the near vertical slope created
during mining, to the 3 : 1 final slope . This same staking plan
will be used along the north line when mining approaches the
9
