All potential wetland areas
identified were palustrine emergent (PEM) wetlands, which means that they are dominated by herbaceous
vegetation (Cowardin, et al., 1979).These potential wetlands were narrow fringes located along the edges man-
made ponds. All potential wetland areas in the study area had vegetation ranging from OBL to UPL. Because
vegetation only was used as the indicator of wetlands, the wetland areas identified in this memo are likely an
overestimation of actual wetlands.Wetland areas identified in the study area are described in Table 2.
Table 2 Summary Wetland Areas in the Study Area
' - _ .'s k: d., ,;y t,>ti,.'eu .;,ag;mt'..;.,['`'.*>h•, .. :'.;, :..•_e..5.-j ,,,,3 "}'q,'s,fi;, "' ty`, r',"dm
'max. -.:; r.w'.!M ,,::, .. •,,,.5,a, ; „5,». P::,n';^,
Curlytop knotweed (Polygonum
WL-1; Located along the lapathifolium; OBL) or
Photo 6 in Pennsylvania knotweed
Photographic edge of O5-, PEM 0.14 (Polygonum pensylvanicum;
Log -104.81 5 66 OBL) (40%);the grasses tall
-104.8150669° fescue(FACU) and green fox
tail Setaria viridis; UPL 60%
WL-2; Located along the Broadleaf cattail (Typha latifolia;
Photo 9 in edge of OW-6; PEM 0.04 OBL) (50%); Green fox tail
Photographic 40.2537736°, (UPL) (50%)
Log -104.81244780
Nebraska sedge (Carex
WL-3; Located along the nebrascensis; OBL) or water
Photo I I in edge of OW-8; PEM 0.05 sedge (Carex aquatilis; OBL)
Photographic 40.2469188°, (80%); smooth brome (UPL)
Log -104.81079770 (20%)
Curlytop knotweed or
WL-4; Located along the Pennsylvania knotweed (OBL)
(40%);tall fescue, green fox
Photo 12 in edge of OW-9; PEM 0.18 tail, and slender wheatgrass
Photographic 40.2505203°, (FJymus trachycaulus; FACU)
Log -104.8106377° (60%)
'Approximate center point of wetland in World Geodetic System of 1984(WGS84)Decimal Degrees
z Cowardin,et al., 1979,PEM=Palustrine Emergent
Biological Resources Technical Memorandum
Hunt Slurry Wall Proposed Alignment
April 23, 2018 5
