April 27, 2018 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />- RP -4: <br />RP -4 was dry during the inspection. T he embankments of the pond were stable with no indications of erosion. <br />The vegetation on the embankments was well established. The spillways to the pond were free of debris and <br />capable of functioning as designed. <br /> <br />- RP -5a: <br />The pond was dry at the time of the inspection. The embankments showed no signs of erosion and were s table. <br />The embankments of RP-5a were well vegetated. <br /> <br />- B Seam Dewatering System #1 (Photo 2): <br />Water was impounded in all of the cells of the B Seam Dewatering System #1. The last cell of the system only <br />had a small amount of water in it. There was no discharge from the ponds. The embankments of the ponds were <br />well vegetated and stable. There were no indications of erosion on the embankments. <br /> <br />- B Seam Dewatering System #2 (Photo 3): <br />Two of the three cells of the #2 B Seam Dewatering System were impounding water. There was no discharge <br />from the second cell. The last cell was completely dry. The spillways for the ponds were in good condition. The <br />embankments of the ponds were stable and there were no erosional features identified. <br /> <br />- SS-1 and SS-2 Ponds (Photo 4): <br />Both the SS-1 and SS-2 pond are located near the Slot Storage building. The ponds were observed to be dry. The <br />embankments to the ponds were well vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features identified. <br /> <br />- RR-1 and RR-2 (Photo 4): <br />The RR-1 and RR-2 ponds were dry. The two ponds receive runoff from the train loadout. The embankments of <br />the ponds were well vegetated and stable. There were no indications of erosion. The spillways for the ponds were <br />clear from debris and able to function as designed.
