5.5 Routine Surveillance to detect Potential Hazards <br /> Personnel view and informally inspect aboveground storage tanks, piping, and valves at least once <br /> per week as part of their routine operation and maintenance schedule. All formal inspection <br /> requirements are detailed in Appendices 2 and 3. Aboveground storage tanks, secondary <br /> containment and associated piping and equipment are formally inspected on a monthly basis <br /> During these inspections, the outside of each tank is observed for evidence of deterioration, leaks <br /> which might cause a spill, or accumulation of oil inside containment areas. These monthly facility <br /> inspections are documented. For the purposes of documenting aboveground tank integrity testing, <br /> a formal visual inspection will be performed monthly as part of the facility and tank inspection and <br /> the results recorded on the Facility and Tank Inspection Reports shown in Appendix 2 and 3. <br /> Additionally, tank integrity testing will be conducted on steel aboveground storage tanks at least <br /> every ten years. <br /> 5.6 Emergency Procedures <br /> Company personnel will direct or accompany response personnel as required. Emergency <br /> personnel and equipment contacts are provided on the site contact list.
