The pond has been reclaimed.
Bowie Resources have anchored straw blankets over the reclaimed pond footprint. No apparent separation of the
blanket was noted at this reclaimed pond. 5 cows were briefly seen grazing on the reclaimed ROM pile.

All ponds at the East Mine have been reclaimed. Bowie Resources have used straw erosion control blankets on
the reclaimed pond footprints. Additionally the operator has staked silt fencing at the lowest edges of the
reclaimed ponds and as needed, they have also staked straw wattles at the low point of the reclaimed pond
footprint. These erosion control features appear to be holding up well. Reclaimed Ponds 1, 2, and waste pile
ponds were observed. No problems were noted with any of these reclaimed ponds at the East Mine. Reclaimed
slopes at the east mine are very steep. No erosional features, rills or gullies were observed forming on these
reclaimed slopes. Drainage off these slopes appear to be handled appropriately.

The West mine was observed from the roadway. The vegetation on the West mine area looks good and appears
stable. No erosional features were obvious. The operator has staked the bottom of the slope to show where
regrading is planned to occur. Basil was unsure if this work would be conducted in 2018.

REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
Vegetation throughout the reclaimed mine area and load out are beginning to green up.
