Mr. Basil Bear of Bowie
Resources met the inspectors at the Load out site. The weather was cloudy and extremely windy. A spring storm
was predicted to blow in within the next 24 hours.

The Bowie No. 1 Mine consists of a rail loadout that is in various stages of clean up, The reclaimed ROM area, the
reclaimed East Mine, and the reclaimed West Mine.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Irrigation ditches in and adjacent to the Load out were flowing. The irrigation ditches appear to be
functioning well. The upland diversion ditch located north of the Sediment pond on the north east side of the load
out, had a slow seep that is caught in the sediment pond. The sediment pond was dry with the exception of the
small puddle from the seep. Basil indicated that he would continue to try to seal the ditch to keep the water from
seeping into the pond.

The collection ditches at the load out are dry and free of debris.

ROADS – Rule 4.03
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The roads through the Load out were in good condition and graded. The rails, and much of the gravel
ballast has been removed from the rail line at the load out.

Most of the roads at the reclaimed mine areas have previously been reclaimed. The access road at the East mine
was drivable, though rocks were present throughout the road. The inspectors did not drive to the upper bench at
