D. Has a BLM or USFS permit been denied, suspended, or revoked? NO
E. Are there, or has there been, any charges or outstanding court actions related to your
permitted activities or business? NO
F. Has this organization operate under:
1. a different name NO
2. a different owner NO
3. changed status from a profit to nonprofit or vice versa NO
G. List any other locations under permit on National Forest or BLM public lands besides the
areas covered under this permit: No other locations at this time.
IV. AREAS OF OPERATION
A. Area
This operating plan and the accompanying permit are for use of National Forest lands only and
do not imply permission for use of private lands.
Area: Rampart
B. Maps
Designate all travel routes, camping locations, climbing areas, etc. on a USGS topographical or
Trails Illustrated map; so they are easily cross referenced with the itineraries. General areas,
such as for hunting, will be outlined on the map. These maps become part of the operating plan.
Show the direction of travel on trail use.
Map(s) are attached.
C. Itinerary
An itinerary must be submitted with the operating plan which includes your proposed dates,
routes, campsites locations and number of people.
Students will meet in the morning before class with the instructors at a predesignated location in
the city of Sedalia, Co. Students will then follow the instructors in their own vehicles to the
meeting area at Topaz Point Picnic area vicinity. They will be guided on foot, off-trail downslope
towards the Devil May Care Claim, directly west downhill of Topaz Point. They will spend the
day there, before being led back to the meeting area, where they can return to their vehicles
campsites. Please see attached map for addition route information. Campsites will be those
designated sites, along Rampart Range Road, most likely those closest to Topaz Point, as
available. Total number of people per class will not exceed 14 including instructors. No exact
dates for classes have been set, as class time and availability varies depending on number of
interested students and instructor availability. We propose to use our guiding days during
periods of favorable weather between April 1 st and November 30th, 2018. Being more of a
warm weather activity, operating dates will most likely not start that early or end that late, but we
must remain flexible for our clients and the weather.
