Two locks remain intact on the headgate. The headgate was <br />closed and water was not being diverted at the time (Photo 2). Rapid Creek was flowing during the inspection. <br />Outfall 016 was visited during the inspection. Photo 2: No flow through the headgate at Rapid Creek. <br /> <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br /> During the inspection Jared Fischer and Robert Weber of OSMRE conducted a LiDAR survey of the area <br />of the permit known as Tract 71. The purpose of the survey was to get an accurate measurement of the surface <br />topography in that location. The LiDAR survey was conducted using a RIEGL LiDAR unit. The RIEGL was <br />mounted on a surveying tripod and taken to thirteen locations ar ound the perimeter of Tract 71 (Photo 3 and 4). <br />Two of the thirteen locations were in the bottom of the Carey “pit”. At each of the locations the RIEGL took a 360 <br />degree scan of the survey point and then would proceed to take photographs of the same 360 d egree survey point. <br />Each location took three to five minutes to complete. The data collected from the survey will be pro cessed at the <br />Denver OSM office. It is expected to take up to a couple of weeks before the data is completed.
