The inspection was conducted and the report prepared by me, Robin Reilley of the
DRMS. Miranda Kawcak, Williams Fork representative was present throughout the inspection.
Skies had high clouds with temperatures around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This inspection focused
on getting an overview of the reclamation activities occurring at Williams Fork and observing
the silo demolition.

UPCOMING PERMITTING ACTIONS:
o Phase I, II and III bond release of Utah Track and the Williams Fork strip pit
o Technical Revision of the Reclamation Plan

INSPECTION:

GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
Reclamation is underway; the railway spur has been dismantled and material is ready to be
hauled away. The existing coal pile is being hauled to Twenty Mile mine. Ponds will be
reclaimed as over the course of the year they do not retain water. With the exception of a vehicle
storage building facilities will be demolished and hauled away and in the case of concrete pads,
rebar removed, concrete broken up and used as fill material.

SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02

o The mine site identification sign inside the entrance to the facilities from CO 13 South
was intact, displaying all required information: mine name, operator name, address,
phone number, DRMS permit number and contact information.
o Permit boundary markers were identified as T stakes painted red at the top.
o Topsoil stockpiles were noted, some but not all were clearl y marked with identifying
signs.
o Stream buffer zones were noted. It appears additional signage may be needed to clearly
delineate the buffer zone for all contractors on site.
