Response: - Information on TES species occurrence has been reviewed and updated, as appropriate, with
reference to the most recent USFWS and CPW TES species lists. If updates were necessary, the updated
materials accompany these responses for insertion/replacement in the PAP.
2.05.3 Operations Plan - Permit Area
24. Map 23 shows operations continuing through 2018. Please update Table 46 to show the anticipated annual
and total production for future operations at the Foidel Creek Mine in accordance with Rule 2.05.3(1).
Response: - Note that Map 23B, submitted with the approved Permit Revision PRI 5-11, shows mining through
2023. Both the referenced map and table have been reviewed and updated to reflect future mining plans. The
updated materials accompany these responses for insertion/replacement in the PAP (note that Table 46 is
"Confidential").
25. Page 2.05-13-1 discusses the areal extent of the area affected by underground mining at the site. The page
indicates that 13,090 acres have been affected by mining in the Southwestern, Western, Northern and Eastern
Mining district. However, if you add tip the acreages listed for each of the districts that total is 13,700 acres.
Please clarify this discrepancy and re-evaluate and update the affected acreages listed on this page.
Response: - The referenced page was revised and approved as part of the PR14-10 revision application. The
revised page (copy included for reference with these responses) reflected all planned disturbance at that time
(13,814 acres). In the interim, approved revisions have added approximately 20 acres of surface disturbance, so
the referenced page has been updated to include this additional area. The updated page accompanies these
responses for insertion/replacement in the PAP.
26. Please provide a map made in accordance with Rule 2.10 that depicts the final location of the WCR
Coreholes and the location of anv road that was cut to access the corehole sites. Please update the respective
pages in Section 2.05 of the permit to discuss the final locations of these coreholes and cite the location where
the new map can be found.
Response: - As noted, a number of drillholes were permitted to delineate and characterize the Wolf Creek
Reserve. Most of the permitted drillholes were completed, however, there are some of the permitted drillholes
which have not yet been drilled, and there is still the possibility that some of them may be drilled in the future.
Maps 24 and 29, show all mine -related disturbance, and have been reviewed and revised, as appropriate, to assure
that they show all drillholes and related disturbance. The related text has also been reviewed and revised, as
appropriate for consistency. The updated materials accompany these responses for replacement in the PAP.
27. The Division could not locate permanent sealing/abandonment reports for the exploration coreholes for the
Western Mining District discussed on pages 2.05-17 to 17.3. Please provide abandonment reports for these
coreholes with the information required under Rule 4.07.3.
Response: - The referenced abandonment reports accompany these responses for insertion in the PAP.
28. Please update page 2.05-11.1 to 11.2 to list the following mine openings: Compressor Building Boreholes
(1&2), WMD Stabilization Borehole, 15 -Left Ventilation Shaft, 16 -Left Utility Borehole, 5 -Main North
Borehole, 10 -East Emergency Air Borehole, 10 -Right Monitoring Borehole, NMD Power Borehole.
Response: - The referenced listing has been reviewed and updated, as appropriate to include all current mine
openings. Note that the Compressor Building boreholes are included in the 6 -Main North utility boreholes (7),
the WMD Stabilization Borehole is already listed as the 17 -Left Cement Borehole, the 16 -Left Borehole is
already listed, and the NMD Power Borehole is already listed as the Substation 11 Power -Drop Borehole. The
updated Permit text accompanies these responses for replacement in the PAP.
29. The Division reviewed Section 2.05.3(3)(a)(b) of the permit. This Section contains an extensive list of the
surface facilities/projects at the site. Many of the surface facilities listed do not provide a clear description of
the location and simply cite that the facility/area is depicted on Map 24. The location of many of these
