on I UND
ENGINEERING August 29, 2017
Subject: Limited Geological Evaluation,
Exploratory Coring, Colorado Rose Red
Granite Quarry, Lyons, Colorado
Job No. 17-3043
Mr. Caleb Liesveld
Colorado Rose Red Inc.
148 Cheyenne Court
Lyons, Colorado 80540
Dear Mr. Liesveld:
GROUND Engineering Consultants, Inc. (GROUND) recently completed a limited
geotechnical evaluation to assess the granite resources of the Colorado Rose Red
Granite Quarry near Lyons, Colorado. Our findings and conclusions are presented
below. Our services were performed in general accordance with GROUND's Proposal
No. 1707-1242 C dated July 14, 2017.
SITE CONDITIONS
At the time of our subsurface exploration, the site was occupied an existing quarry
operation and a single-family residence. Native grasses, shrubs, and other small
vegetation also occupied much of the project site. Additionally, juvenile and relatively
large mature trees also occupied portions of the project site. Outcrops, cobbles, and
boulders of the local granite were observed on site as well.
Overall the project vicinity slopes steeply to gently to the south and west. Locally,
project slope direct was variable and generally sloped towards a drainage near the
southern portion of the property. At the test hole locations the project slopes were
relatively gentle to moderate.
Photographs of the project site are presented in Appendix A
41 Inverness Drive East I Englewood, CO 80112 1 (303) 289-1989 1 www.groundeng.com
ENGLEWOOD I COMMERCE CITY I LOVELAND I GRANBY I GYPSUM
