Exhibit G WATER INFORMATION.
The 2005 amendment contains detailed information on water
starting on Page G-1. Dewatering and slurry wall installation
was addressed in that report for the entire Worthing Pit area.
We have well spacing agreement with the adjoining owners in this
area. In addition the design criteria manual prepared by Deere &
Ault for the slurry wall presents information on ground water
impacts and mitigation in the area around the slurry wall.
We have discussed the need for a "french drain" on the up
gradient side of the slurry wall with LaFarge and their permit
does not call for one to be installed. As explained in their
permit on Page S (see next page), a committal was made to install
4 up gradient Piezometers to monitor up gradient ground water
levels. The data from these would determine the need for a
french drain. The Piezometers are in place and being monitored.
In an adequacy response letter from LaFarge to Mr. Schreiner they
recommitted that a french drain would be installed if their
ground water monitoring suggested one would be needed. Since the
Frei portion is part of the overall reservoir project we will
make the same commitment to install a french drain along the up
gradient side of the slurry wall if it is warranted by the
groundwater study currently under way.
Ground water flow in this area is mostly parallel to the
river or a little from the southeast as you move east of the
river. Along the east side the ground is elevated above the top
of the slurry wall so any rise in the ground water table would
top the slurry wall before causing any adverse impacts to sur-
rounding properties. The site is immediately east of the Platte
River so there will be no impact to off site wells by the shadow
created by the slurry wall.
No spillways have been designed for this project. This will
be up to the company or person who purchases the reservoir as
they will better know how it will be operated and where the
spillway will best serve their needs. Again this is consistent
with what is approved in the LaFarge permit.
7
