This will require three signs in total. On blasting days where no
blasting will occur, the sign will state there is to be no blasting. On days that a blast is
scheduled, the sign will state"blasting today"and also display the approximate time of
the blast. These signs will also communicate the audible blasting signal guide that
includes the type of audible signal, length of audible signal and its timing before and after
the blast.
Communication
On the day of the blast, the scheduled blast time will be communicated to all personnel
onsite. Scale house and reception personnel will inform customers, visitors, and vendors
of the scheduled blast time and times when they are expected to leave the mining area.
The primary notification regarding planned dates and times for blasting will be signs at
each entrance to the property. Information on these signs will be posted 24 hours ahead
of a planned blast and will be updated regarding time as necessary thereafter. As the
quarry operation develops, Transit Mix Concrete Co. will make good faith efforts to
provide further notification of blast schedules to those in the immediate vicinity of the
quarry.
10
