Panel 7, is approximately 12.2m to the right of Panel 6, measures 40cm in length and <br />18cm in height, and ranges 73 to 91 cm above pgs. The panel consists of three abraded areas <br />on the back wall of the overhang and is situated above a concentration of wall -fall boulders <br />(Plate 16). Similar to the abraded areas described in Panel 4, the element furthest to the right <br />in Panel 7 has a narrower internal groove abraded into the center of the broader, and <br />shallower, ground surface. <br />Plate 16. Site 5MF948, P6ne17 detail view showing three abraded areas. <br />Panel 8, is approximately 27m to the right of Panel 7 near the extreme northeastern <br />end of the overhang, measures approximately 100cm in length and 20cm in height, and <br />ranges from approximately 70 to 90cm above pgs. It consists of two faintly abraded vertical <br />lines that measure 1.2cm and 1.6cm in width and 8.8cm to 10.Ocm in length and another <br />element of two abraded lines that create a lopsided V-shape that measures 6.0cm in width and <br />7.3cm in height (Plate 17). <br />Evaluation and Management Recommendation <br />Site 5MF948 is field evaluated as eligible for placement on the National Register of <br />Historic Places (NRNP). The site retains integrity in the form of Location, as the site's rock <br />art and apparently undisturbed subsurface cultural materials are in their original geographic <br />position. The Materials on the site reflect Native American utilization of the resources found <br />in the local geology and the Workmanship demonstrates knowledge of these materials and a <br />all <br />
