Plate 13. Site 5MF948, Panel 4 overview showing three vertical abraded areas at
left, three faint, red pictographic elements, and historic graffiti at upper right.
Panel 5 is approximately 1.8m to the right of Panel 4, measures 66cm in length and
106cm in height, and ranges from 70 to 176cm above pgs (Plate 14). From left to right this
panel consists of graffiti reading "WD 41" (possibly an indication of the year of the
inscription?), a smudge of red pigment, a vertical ground area measuring 2cm wide and 25cm
long, a simplified pecked shield figure consisting of a circle with a small "head" protruding
from the top, and a single straight "leg" from the bottom, a vertical incised line with
additional appended lines similar to a "corn plant" or tree element, a similar pecked "plant,"
three elements consisting concentrations of numerous abraded vertical lines, and an element
of three converging abraded lines in the manner of a bird or turkey track (being rubbed by
cattle and/or wildlife).
Panel 6 is approximately 4.2m to the right of Panel 5, measures 270cm in length and
57cm in height, and ranges from 56 to 113cm above pgs. From left to right this panel
consists of a pecked inverted "U" shape (Plate 15), two possibly slightly ground surfaces, and
what appears to be a red painted outline of an anthropomorph that has been intentionally and
thoroughly rubbed and ground out by someone—presumably prehistorically—at a later date.
