Daily Renats: AMSC daily observation reports (Appendix H) show moisture content
outside the 9.5% t2% optimum moisture content for compaction per NewFields
structural fel specification (ref. 02200 Earthworks Concentrate Shipping June 21, 2097, p. E
para. B.3). Please address the discrepancy.
Response 4. Daily Reports: The +1-2% moisture range is an optimum moisture range in
which the required compaction Is most likely to be achieved. It is intended to be used as
a guide In the field and Is not a definitive requirement to achieve a passing test result for
compaction. The minimum compaction requirements were achieved for all tests and
reported as "Pass" by AMSC Foster Wheeler.
Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Clara Steward at
719.889.4313 or Clara.
