If that should
occur, we have committed to backfill at least two (2) feet above the prevailing ground
water elevation. In addition, no toxic or hazardous materials will be mined or imported
into the site.
(3) Project water requirements for mining and reclamation:
Water will be needed for dust control and potable water for drinking. Water will be hauled
to the site for operational water needs. Less than 1.8 acre feet of water will be required
annually, since this is an intermittent mining operation.
(4) Amount of water from each source to meet project water requirements:
Water will be obtained from the Operator's offsite sources and/or purchased. Since this is
an intermittent mining operation, less than 1.8 acre feet of water will be needed annually.
The actually amount of water needed will depend on County needs for construction
material.
(5) Statement of application for a discharge permit from the Water Quality
Control Division,Department of Public Health and the Environment:
A Stormwater Discharge Permit will be obtained from the Colorado Division of Public
Health and Environment, Water Quality Control Division(CDPHE, WQCD).
At this time, a discharge permit is not needed.
