4

analyzed during the 1996-1997 water year. Appendix I of the Thirteenth Annual Hydrology
Report provides the analytical results. Monitoring hole 32-7M was sampled prior to being
mined out in 2001 and 30-8M before it had a chance to drain after being completely mined
around in late 2006. Data is provided in Appendix C of the Seventeenth Annual Hydrology
Report for 32-7M and the Twenty Third Annual Hydrology Report, for 30-8M. The final
sampling for monitoring hole 29-4M was conducted in September 2012 with the results
included in the Twenty Eighth Annual Hydrology Report.

TABLE 2-1

ALLUVIAL MONITORING HOLE WATER QUALITY PARAMETERS1

FIELD MEASUREMENTS LABORATORY ANALYSIS*
pH Arsenic Magnesium
Conductivity at 25o Beryllium Manganese
Temperature Bicarbonate Nickel
Boron Nitrogen-Nitrate
Cadmium Nitrogen-Ammonia
Calcium Potassium
Carbonate Selenium
Chloride Sodium
Chromium (trivalent) Sulfate
Copper Total Dissolved Solids
Fluoride Sodium Adsorption Ratio
Iron Zinc
Lead

1 Groundwater holes in Leases C-8424 and C-8425 were sampled from the middle facie zone and
analyzed for these parameters prior to entering those leases, and will be sampled and analyzed
again prior to the wells being mined out or before bond release.

* Dissolved metals analyses for alluvial and bedrock groundwater

2.2 Summary and Analysis of Deserado Mine Hydrology Data

Data collected during this water year (October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017) are
summarized and compared with the data from the baseline hydrology inventory. Surface
water and ground water discussions are presented separately in the following sections.
