The embankments of the pond were well vegetated and stable. There <br />were no erosional issues identified. <br /> <br />- Pond K: <br /> Pond K was not holding any water, snow or ice at the time of the inspection. The embankments were in good <br />repair and stable. There were no indications of erosion. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Photo 1: Pond B is located near the entrance to the <br />Bowie No.2 Mine and south of the coal stockpile pad. <br />The photo was taken looking southeast. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Photo 2: Pond J is located to the south of Gob Pile 3. <br />The photo was taken looking southeast. <br /> <br /> <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES – Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> Gob Pile 2 and Gob Pile 4 (Photo 3) have been keyed together. Gob Pile 4 has been covered with subsoil <br />and volunteer vegetation has done well. The pile is stable and there were no erosional features identified. Gob <br />Pile 2 has been partially covered with subsoil. The areas with subsoil h ave had volunteer vegetation grow well on <br />them. These areas were stable and there were no indications of erosion. The portions of Gob Pile 2 that are still <br />exposed are in good repair and stable. The top of the pile has been contoured to create positive drainage to an <br />outlet with sediment control features. The sediment logs placed at the outlet were intact and in good condition. <br />Minor rilling was observed above the outlet on the top of the pile. The rills are not significant enough to warrant
