<br /> <br /> <br /> 8 C1981-041 RN7 findings <br /> <br />Permit Revisions <br /> <br />PR-6: Approved November 18, 2016. Changed the post mining land use at the North Portal Area <br />to commercial and Industrial. The Town of Palisade in conjunction with the Colorado Division <br />of Parks and Wildlife plan to construct a state of the art shooting and training complex on the <br />site. <br /> <br />Surety Releases <br /> <br />SL-10: Approved July 24, 2017. SL-10 approved final Phase III bond release on 4.0 acres <br />located at the Roadside North Portal area. These areas have received approved for an industrial <br />post-mining land use. The Town of Palisade and Colorado Parks and Wildlife are developing <br />these areas into a shooting facility. The Division approved release of $14,089.16. <br /> <br />SL-9: Partially Approved November 23, 2016. SL-9 approved Phase II liability on 13.1 acres <br />and from Phase III liability on 9.6 acres. Also, the proposed decision will terminate Division <br />jurisdiction on 0.2 acres of undisturbed land overlying underground workings. The Division <br />released $97,202.20 of financial liability. <br /> <br />SL-8: Partially Approved October 8, 2015. SL-8 approved Phase I, II, and III bond release on <br />both disturbed and undisturbed acres located within the permit boundary at the Roadside North <br />and South Portals Mine. Portions of these areas have been disturbed by mining facilities or <br />structures or have been undermined. The Division approved; Phase I bond release on 22.2 <br />disturbed acres, and 766.2 affected acres, Phase II bond release on 136.5 disturbed acres, and <br />880.5 affected acres, Phase III bond release on 128 disturbed acres, and 872.0 affected acres. <br />SL8 approved release of $663,429.00. Reduction of the bond amount was conditioned upon <br />submittal of a revision/or revisions to address suspected hydrologic communication in Tract #71. <br />This condition was addressed with submittal and approval of MR-82 and TR-69. <br /> <br />Status of Stipulations <br /> <br />The stipulation history for the Roadside Portals was reviewed with this renewal application. The <br />review included an investigation of any stipulations imposed, and any responses to existing <br />stipulations received since the last midterm review. All previously issued stipulation have been <br />complied with, or terminated, and there are no active stipulations attached to this permit. Any <br />stipulations associated with this permit and issued over the life of this operation which are not <br />discussed in this renewal application have been complied with or terminated. <br /> <br />Enforcement Actions <br />No enforcement actions were issued since the last midterm review of the Roadside Portals permit <br />application package. <br />
