The Mine is an underground mine that is
idled and currently in Temporary Cessation. There are no full-time personnel at the mine site, however, McClane
Canyon Mining retains maintainance service of Chuck Silengo for occasional activities. Upon arrival at the permit
area from the highway, the gates were open and there was a worker strapping large batteries on to a flatbed truck
with Utah license plates.

The inspector spoke with the worker, Sean, and found that Chuck Silengo was helping him haul the underground
scoop batteries to CAM’s Utah operation. Chuck had taken the front end loader up to the portal area.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
Records are stored at the office of J. E. Stover and Associates in Grand Junction. Records were checked
and found to be in compliance. The “Availability of Records” form is attached to the end of this report.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
The ditches, sumps, and culverts throughout the site are clear and functional. The grating over Culvert A
has sediment on the grating and an accumulation of dead tumbleweeds in the sump. The Division recommends
this sediment be cleared off and the tumbleweeds removed to assure free flow during large flow events (Spring
snowmelt or flashy precipitation events).

There was a frozen puddle of water at the sump at Salt Creek. This silt fence/sump was performing adequately.
Salt Creek was not flowing.

The sediment pond was dry with a very small frozen puddle in the very bottom of the pond. The Embankment of
the pond was in good condition. No problems with the pond and inlet were noted.
