EXHIBIT L WORST CASE RECLAMATION SCENARIO
Mining at the Alma Placer Mine will mine an additional 65.5 (unmined as of October 2017)
acres of land. At any given time, 27 acres of post-law ground will be disturbed: the previously
permitted 20 acres plus 7 acres for the additional active mining area. Roughly 14.3 acres of the
previously disturbed 29.1 acre. This includes the old 110 gravel operation. Since the old 110
disturbance on pre-law ground is currently in reclamation phase, the worst case scenario is at this
current time. It includes the ongoing mining areas including two active pits with sluices, and
facilities on-site that will need to be removed.
Given the length of time it will take to mine this entire site (8.5-10 years),the operator will not
phase the operation and the bond.
By using on-site stock piled materials, the distance that topsoil and overburden will have to be
transported as well as the amount of material that will have to be rehandled will be minimized.
Additionally, the acreage that is unreclaimed will be minimized and will make the worst case
reclamation smaller and thus a smaller bond will result.
It is assumed that seeding of pre-law areas will be more expansive due to occasional
unsuccessful seasons.
Bond costs and related tasks can be seen in the table below.
Alma Placer Mine Creg I iris ondA ;alo_P1 A
December 2017 L-1
