when completing final reclamation in the northern reaches of the permit area. The Operator will
potentially modify the seed mix, seeding method, and mulching in accordance with good
revegetation practices and consultation with the Natural Resources Conservation Service
(MRCS)to successfully revegetate long unreclaimed areas.
All reclaimed areas, except roads and water surfaces, will be reseeded after applying at least 3
inches of topsoil or substitute fines to the pre-law areas and an average of 4.5 inches of topsoil
to the post-law areas. Four distinct revegetation methods will be employed:
1) Wetland fringes along ponds and lakes of approximately 10 feet width. This revegetation
effort will occur on approximately l.38 acres excluding water surface.
2) High altitude dry rangeland reclaimed areas will involve seeding grasses and forbs suited for
the conditions present in these areas.
3) Monitoring of existing and potential reseeding of high altitude dry rangeland species in the
pre-law areas in accordance with NRCS specifications.
4) Restore an evergreen community using saplings in areas where either soils are thin or where
past pre-law area revegetation was not able to be reclaimed due to complications discussed
above.North facing slopes with poor soil will be especially suitable. This revegetation effort
will occur on approximately 4.5 acres that will involve tree sapling planting.
3.1 Wetland Seed Mix
Species Pounds of pure live seed per acre(drilled)
Streambank Wheatgrass 2.5
Meadow Brome-Regar 6
Reedgrass, Canadian (or Blue Joint) 0.15
Tufted Hairgrass 0.25
Needlegrass 1
Total 9.85
Broadcast seeding will be done at double the drill rate
3_2 Rangeland Seed Mix
Species Pounds of pure live seed per acre(drilled)
Alma Placer Mine
December 2017 E-4
