EXHIBIT A-LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br /> The affected lands under the amendment (Parcels #1 and #2) are situated in Teller <br /> County, CO in the NE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 15 South, Range 70 West of the 6th <br /> P.M. There are two separate parcels involved in this permit amendment. <br /> Parcel #1 is the approximate 1.7 acres of ground approved for mining under 2007-031. <br /> Long term mining and future reclamation is proposed in Parcel #1. The general <br /> description is Tract "F" of the Bessie C. Lode 10309 and that portion of ground lying <br /> south of the Bonnie Bell Lode MS 8073 and north of the Florence Placer MS20729 and <br /> East of the Bessie C. Lode MS 10309 in the NE1/4 of Section 13, Township 15 South, <br /> Range 70 West of the 6 h P.M., Teller County, Colorado. <br /> Parcel #2 is the approximate .6 acres of ground located outside the Northwest, northeast <br /> and East 2007-031 permit boundary that was disturbed in noncompliance. The general <br /> description is a 30 foot wide strip of land located along the northwest, northeast and east <br /> boundaries of the Scott Blue II mining claim situated in in Teller County, CO in the NE <br /> 1/4 of Section 13, Township 15 South, Range 70 West of the 6th P.M. Parcel #2 will be <br /> temporarily incorporated into the permit boundary, but will be deleted as soon as <br /> reclamation is completed. No mining is proposed in Parcel #2, only immediate <br /> reclamation. <br /> When the noncompliance is resolved by reclamation of Parcel #2, the permit boundary <br /> will be reduced by the .6 acre amendment area, and the size will again be approximately <br /> 1.7 acres, and will match the original land description for Parcel #1. <br /> Parcel#1 is more particularly described as follows: <br /> Commencing at Corner No. 3 of said Bessie C. Lode MS 10309 from which the NE1/4 <br /> corner of said Section 13 bears N 42°49'00" W a distance of 2005.23'; thence N <br /> 03°45'00" W along line 3-4 of said Bessie C. Lode a distance of 600.08' to intersect line <br /> 4-3 of the Florence Lode MS 20729; thence S 86°23'00" W along said line 4-3 a distance <br /> of 34.38' to intersect line 18-17 of the Eldredge Lode MS 7442; thence N 47°00'00" E <br /> along said line 18-17 a distance of 96.11' to intersect line 3-2 of the Bonnie Bell Lode <br /> MS 8073; thence S 65°57'00" E along said line 3-2 a distance of 102.77' to the NE <br /> Corner of said tract "F" thence S 00°38'00" E along the East line of said Tract "F" a <br /> distance of 614.10' to intersect line 2-3 of said Bessie C. Lode; thence S 86°20'00" W <br /> along said line 2-3 a distance of 97.57' to the point of beginning. Containing 1.70 acres <br /> more or less. <br /> Parcel#2 is more particularly described as follows: <br /> Starting at Corner 3 Permit <br /> Thence 43.90' bearing S 86°23'00" W thence 149.73' bearing N 47°00'00" E; thence <br /> 145.22' bearing S 65°57'00" E; thence 614.10' bearing S 00°38'00" E; thence 30.00' <br /> bearing S 86°20'00" W; thence 614.10' bearing N 098'00" W;thence 102.77' bearing N <br /> 65°57'00" W; thence 96.11' bearing S 47°00'00" W to the starting point. Containing .6 <br /> acres approximately. <br />
