Box 1488 <br />Paonia, CO 81428 <br />RE: Bowie No. 2 Mine, Permit No. C-1996-083 <br />2016 Annual Hydrology Report Review <br />Dear Mr. Bear, <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division) received the 2016 Annual <br />Hydrology Report for the Bowie No. 2 Mine on May 1, 2017. The Division has completed the <br />review of the above referenced document finds the reports to be in compliance with the <br />following Rules (please note any comments noted in Bold): <br />The 2016 report is in compliance with Rules 4.05.13(1), (2), (3) and (4) and the approved permit <br />application package. <br />Rule 4.05.13(4)(a) — The data collected during the 2016 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR) is kept <br />and maintained at the Bowie No. 2 Mine office. <br />Rule 4.05.13(4)(b) — The 2016 AHR is compiled from the analysis of hydrologic data collected <br />from the monitoring period of January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. <br />Rule 4.05.13(4)(c)(i), (ii), (iii) — The 2016 AHR was submitted to the Division by the determined <br />date on which the permittee and the Division agreed to. The report included an interpretation the <br />collected data and identified mining related impacts to the hydrologic balance. <br />1. Rule 4.05.13(4) — The Division requires that the AHR include a written <br />interpretation of the data and analytical results to be tabulated on a site by site <br />basis. Please include in the 2017 AHR, the Maximum allowable Colorado Water <br />Quality and Control Commission (CWQCC) standards for all surface and <br />groundwater monitoring locations. The information can be included on the <br />monitoring location spreadsheets, next to the baseline data.
