October 25, 2017 C-1980-004/McClane Canyon Mine JHB

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2

Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6):
The haul road to the portal appears to have been graded fairly recently. A storm has caused minor
rilling on the road, but this runoff ends up in the roadside ditch and eventually to the sediment pond, so is not
considered to be a problem. The road all the way to the portal area is in good condition.
CAM Mining has submitted a revision to the Munger Permit to transfer a reclaimed access road and emergency
drill pad located in Monger Canyon from the McClane Canyon Permit to the Munger Canyon permit. Once
This revision is approved, McClane Canyon Mining will need to submit a revision to remove thes features form
the McClane permit.

The gates and locks to the site were functional and appeared in good repair.

RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Operations at the mine site are idle. No mine personnel are at the site full time. Regular maintenance
is conducted periodically. Reclamation of the site has not commenced. Seeded out slopes of the sediment pond
are well vegetated. The topsoil stockpile slopes have been stabilized with a temporary seed mix. This appears
to have been effective in stabilizing the top and slopes of the pile.

SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12:
Some down cutting over culvert/ditch D-5 was noticed. This culvert functions to direct overland flow
into a perimeter ditch and does not receive vehicle traffic. The culvert is shown on figure 2.2-3. This down
cutting of material does not affect the function of this culvert.

The rest of the site is in good condition leading into the Winter months.

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER (SPECIFY) NA

ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE

No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
