October 25, 2017 C-1981-020/Munger Canyon Mine JHB

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2

evidence of down cutting or side cutting of the rip rap. No gullies or erosional features were noted of concern.
Salt Creek was dry at the bridge.

ROADS – Rule 4.03
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The remaining road wad dry and navigable. Munger creek was dry so crossing the dip with the vehicle
was manageable. The road was passable up to the fence corner where the haul road to the portal has been
reclaimed.

CAM Mining has a revision under review to transfer the reclaimed emergency drill pad and associated reclaimed
access road from the McClane Canyon Mine permit to the Munger permit. The inspector walked up the reclaimed
access road approximately 3/4 a mile. The vegetation was well established on the reclaimed access road. Jointed
goatgrass was observed in a meadow located east of the western fence corner of the reclaimed haul road. The
inspector did not make it all the way to the reclaimed access pad. Vegetation on the reclaimed access road was
fairly thick in areas.

RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Vegetation throughout the reclaimed areas was well established. The vegetation on the topsoil stockpile
footprint is filling in. The perennial vegetation has dried down for the season. Winter annual noxious weeds,
Cheatgrass and Jointed Goatgrass, are showing signs of sprouting. This would be the ideal time to treat these new
sprouts so they do not overwinter and set new seed in the spring. Please work with the local Weed Management
agent regarding the recommended herbicide and rate.
Vegetation on the reclaimed haul road remains in excellent condition. Vegetation established on the reclaimed
access road subject to TR28 is good. With the exception of the Jointed Goatgrass and occasional weeds, the
reclaimed area vegetation is in good condition.

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER (SPECIFY) NA

ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE

No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
