The inspection was <br />conducted by Clayton Wein of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division). The site is inactive; <br />therefore, no company representative was present for the inspection. The weather was clear with a temperature of 66 <br />degres farenheight. The ground conditions were dry. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Stru ctures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buf fer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> There are three main ditches located at the loadout: Ditch A, Ditch B and Ditch C. During the inspection all <br />three of the ditches were dry and stable. There were no erosional featu res identified and there was not any debris <br />located in the channels. The diches were capable of functioning as outlined in the CDRMS permit. <br /> <br />The perimeter ditches for Topsoil Pile No.1 and Topsoil Pile No. 2 were in good repair. There were no debris in the <br />ditches and the berms were stable. The ditches were dry at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />The perimeter ditch for the coal stockpile pad was in good condition. There were no erosional issues noted and the <br />channels were clear of debris . There are some minor rills forming on the northern edge of the stock pile pad leading <br />into the ditch. The rills are not large enough to warrant repair or cause a large amount of sediment loss. <br /> <br />There are two ponds at the Terror Creek Loadout, The Dugout Pond (Photo 1) and the Sediment Pond (Photo 2). <br />During the inspection, both of the ponds were dry. The embankments of the ponds were well vegetated and stable. <br />There were no erosional features identified.
