Plan
CC&V proposes to install a single phase feed line up to the American Eagle Communication Tower site
from the existing 13.2 kV transmission line. The feed line would be comprised of approximately 1,550
feet of#2 ACSR bare conductor on six 45 foot tall poles(Figure 1). The feed line would serve a single
25 kVa transformer and power a 200 Amp service at the tower structure. The line would include down
guys and anchors at each end. The proposed powerline will stay entirely on site and parallels existing
roads, pits, and overburden stockpiles. All road crossings are designed with a minimum of 60 foot
clearance to the lowest conductor.
Schedule
Construction of access and pole pads is scheduled to commence November 1,2017 and will be followed
by pole and line placement. Weather permitting, the installation, commissioning, and energizing of the
transformer is expected to be completed by Mid-December, 2017. Final installation of a 200 amp service
and tower energizing will be completed by the end of December, 2017.
Financial Warranty
CC&V used the 2017 RS Means costs for calculating the increase in reclamation cost. CC&V calculated
the warranty increase of six power poles. The RS Means estimate for"Selective Demolition, utility poles
&cross arms,wood",(2017 RSMeans#024 1 1 3 800200) is $253.50 per pole for a total bond increase of
$1,521.
A copy of this submission will be sent to Teller County as a No-Impact Technical Revision under Section
8.A.2 for the Teller County Land Use Regulations,Appendix A, Cripple Creek Mining Overlay District.
Enclosed please find check no. 200031719 in the amount of$1,006 for the technical revision fee.
