The inspection was <br />conducted by Clayton Wein of the Division of Reclamat ion, Mining and Safety (the Division). Bill Bear of Bowie <br />Resources, LLC was present for the inspection. The temperature was about 75 degrees farenheight and the skys <br />were clear. The ground conditions were dry. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records for the Bowie No. 2 Mine are kept with Bill Bear at the mine office. The records were in <br />good condition. For more details, please see the Availability of Records form attached to the end of this report. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The culverts and drainage ditches along the facilities area and the haul road were inspected. The culverts <br />up on the utilities bench were clear of obstructions and capable of functio ning as designed. There were no <br />erosional issues were noted. The culverts under and around the B Portals Bench were clear of debris and <br />functioning as designed. There were no blockages in the ditches on the bench. Culverts located at the D Portals <br />Bench were in good repair. The ditches had no erosional issues. Culverts and ditches along the paved portion of <br />the haul road were clear of debris and functioning as designed. No erosional features were observed. Culverts and <br />Ditches along the unpaved portion of the haul road have been well maintained. No issues were identified. <br /> <br />- Sediment Pond B: <br /> Pond B was holding water during the inspection. The water level in the pond had not reached the discharge <br />outlet. The embankments of the pond were stable and well vegetated. There were no indications of erosion. <br /> <br />- Sediment Pond C: <br /> Sediment Pond C was holding a small amount of water at the time of the inspection. The level of the water was
