Stormwater Management Plan <br />Use of process chemicals will be conducted in accordance in accordance with chemical <br />manufacturers' recommendation. The use of pesticides will be conducted using approved <br />certified contractors approved by La Plata County. Fertilizers will not be used. <br />i. On-site waste managementpractices <br />Generated solid waste will be hauled off site and disposed in accordance with County <br />regulations. Used oil, tires, solvents, paints; debris, antifreeze etc. will be hauled offsite <br />and disposed in accordance with State and County waste management criteria. <br />j. Concrete truck/equipment washing including the concrete truck chute and associated <br />fixtures and equipment <br />Concrete trucks operators will not be permitted to wash their equipment within the mine <br />permitted area without written approval from management. <br />k. Dedicated asphalt and concrete batch plants <br />No asphalt or concrete batch plants are planned. <br />1. Non -industrial waste sources <br />Worker trash and portable toilet(s) will be maintained by third party contractors once a <br />week. Generated waste will be disposed in a County or State Approved waste disposal <br />facilities. <br />in. Other areas or procedures <br />Absorbent socks and Chem-Dri will be stored in the designated chemical Zircon <br />Containers and areas where chemicals of concern are stored. The Zircon Containers will <br />be locked when the mine is not operating. Bulk petroleum products in excess of 55 <br />gallons will be stored within secondary containment structures. Spill kits will be located <br />in areas where the potential for a spill is possible. Spill kits will be located in the <br />following areas: <br />• At the Base of Operation (located within 1000 feet of CR -124); <br />• At the base of the new access road; <br />• Idaho warehouse (former Idaho Mill building); and <br />• May Day No. l Mine (one near the Zircon storage units) and <br />• Adjacent to May Day No. 2 portal. <br />In the event of an accidental spill, immediate action will be undertaken by the General <br />Contractor to contain and remove the spilled material. All hazardous materials will be <br />disposed of by the Contractor in the manner specified by federal, state and local <br />regulations and by the manufacturer of such products. As soon as possible, and in <br />consultation with the Storm Water Administrator, the spill will be reported to the <br />appropriate agencies.
