6.4.4(1) Explosives
Explosives will be used in accordance with the Blasting Report presented in the Geotechnical Exhibit
Section 6.5.4. Based on this assessment, blasting within the permit area can occur without structural
damage to adjacent manmade structures. Historically, underground blasting occurred on 2 by 2 foot
drill hole centers using maximum load of 200 pounds per blast. When surface blasting activities
were conducted, the drill hole spacing was approximately 6 by 6 foot spacing and no more than 200
pounds of dynamite per blast.
Site blasting will be conducted by a third -party contractor. Explosives, blasting caps, etc. will not
be stored on site. Sunrise will conduct ground vibration monitoring on the first five blasts.
P.
