Greg Lewlicki And Associates, PLLC
3375 W. I'otivcrc Orcle Phone: (72())842-5321 Fa`(303)340 034
Littleton.('E)80123 E-mail: inter a tear icki.hit
September 5, 2017
Michael Cunningham
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
1313 Sherman St, Rm 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Alma Placer M-1985-029—Technical Revision to Expand Disturbed Area
Mr. Michael Cunningham
High Mountain Mining is seeking to expand the disturbance area in its approved permit to 63
acres from the current 48 acres, an addition of 15 acres. This will allow for mining of ground on
the southeast end of the operation by second set of mining equipment.
A combination of new total active disturbed area and the completion of reclamation regrading in
the old areas of the site necessitates a new bond calculation. The attached revised Exhibit L
shows this new bond calculation. The additional bond required is $30,908.
The attached revised Map C-2 and Map F-1 shows revised mining and reclamation plans,
respectively.
Additionally, High Mountain Mining is revising the permit to allow the planting of legumes,
forbs, and grasses beyond the approved seed mix that are
1. Native species
2. Appropriate for the land use and altitude
3. Not on state or local weed lists
This change is to allow the Alma Placer Mine more flexibility in revegetating pre-law areas of
the mine where topsoil was not salvaged. High Mountain Mining will continue to work with the
local NRCS office to ensure effective revegetation is completed onsite.
Alma Placer TR : -
