Surfactant was mixed with the herbicide mixture to promote spreading and adhering of
the herbicide mixture to the plant surface. The treated area (approximately 4.5 acres) required
that approximately 140 gallons of combined herbicide mixture be used. The application was
done with telli 1 and 2 hoses and handgun work for spot spraying. On August 4 they sprayed
from 8 am to 3 pm and on August 8 they sprayed from 9 am to 12:30 pm. On both days the
weather was sunny and calm and temperatures ranged in the 60's and 70's.
Schwartzwalder Mine 2017 Weed Management Update Page 4
September 15, 2017
