RECEIVE®
2705A Sherman Ave
Monte Vista, CO 81144 CEP 2 0 2017
September 10, 2017 DIASION OF RECLAMADO
WWGAN0&VW
Re: Goldpark King No. 1
Notice of Intent to Conduct Prospecting Operations
Ref: USBLM Request for Additional Information dated August 29, 2017
Keith Berger
Field Manager
Royal Gorge Field Office, USBLM
3028 E Main Street
Canon City, CO 81212
Dear Sir:
This memo is in response to your request for additional information. For convenience, I
have included, in italics, the gist of each of the information items sought.
Are the dates of commencement and completion just for the trenching operation,
or do they include reclamation?
The date of commencement is the earliest date at which we anticipate starting
trenching, assuming timely approval by CDRMS and USBLM and no delays due to
inclement weather. The date of completion is the earliest date at which we expect
completion of the entire trenching program and reclamation grading of affected areas,
again assuming timely approval by government agencies and no delays due to
inclement weather.
As this is an exploration/prospecting operation, to be conducted in the fall at 9500 feet
elevation, there is much uncertainty involved. We may decide, based on early results
and weather conditions, to trench at only one site, or two sites, in 2017, and finish the
program, if warranted, in 2018..
The key factor is this: We will do the grading necessary for reclamation at each trench
location within a week or two after digging the trench and sampling the trench product. If
we can then do the seeding of each affected/graded area before the first hard freeze or
snowfall, we will. Otherwise, seeding will be done at the first reasonable/appropriate
time next year.
