Permit M-1982-020, Permit Amendment <br /> Exhibit C- Mining Plan,Amended <br /> ALSH LLC has acquired the Lucky Strike processing facilities and the mine from Aspen <br /> Mineral Resources. This acquisition results in the Lucky Strike Mill,as well as the Gold <br /> Links Mine,Upper Gold Links,and the Sacramento Tunnel being owned by the same <br /> entity, Fossil Creek Mines. <br /> With this ownership change we propose to amend the Mining Plan to treat gold and <br /> silver ores from the Gold Links Project,that will include ore from Sacramento, Gold <br /> Links Mine and the Upper Gold Links permits,in the existing Lucky Strike mill <br /> facility. The specific mines that will supply the ores are the Gold Links Mine (permit M- <br /> 1987-143),Upper Gold Links Mine (permit M-2016-083), and the Sacramento Access <br /> Tunnel (permit M-2016-084). The ore from the Gold Links Mine and the Upper Gold <br /> Links Mine are from the"2150 Vein"mined at different elevations. <br /> The three permitted mines supplying the ores are in very close proximity to each other. <br /> We have performed geochemical analyses of the ores,and have included the reports in <br /> the attached supplement to the EPP. Importantly,the ores are similar in that none of <br /> them exhibit characteristics of massive sulphides known to possess strong acid- <br /> generating potential. <br /> The mines named above are nearly 30 miles away,and hauling to the Lucky Strike will <br /> be made in covered and sealed trucks designed to eliminate release of solids or ore- <br /> affected water. While it is piled and awaiting shipment, ore that is produced at the <br /> mines will have had ample opportunity to drain any free water. <br /> The ore will be placed on the designated ore storage pad immediately south of the mill <br /> facility. The approved Lucky Strike ore storage pad is level and bermed to catch and <br /> control any runoff. It is not currently lined,but all stockpiled ore will be removed from <br /> the pad and processed within a matter of days,and not stored for extended <br /> periods. This greatly reduces the potential for weathering and leaching of <br /> contaminants from the ore on an unlined pad. Prompt ore processing is essential,since <br /> the Lucky Strike permitted area does not contain sufficient space to allow a large <br /> amount to accumulate,nor to remain unprocessed for an extended period of time. <br /> The maximum amount of ore to be stored at any one time on the Lucky Strike ore <br /> storage pad will be 30 day's production, estimated at 3,000 tons,though often it will be <br /> less. This will ensure that ore supplies to the Lucky Strike mill will not be interrupted <br /> by adverse winter storms at the mines and mill sites. Ores from the different mines will <br /> be stored on the pad in separate stockpiles to enable them to be fed separately into the <br /> processing facility to optimize the metallurgical performance. Their total combined <br /> tonnage,however,will not exceed the maximum amount stated above. <br /> Much of the ore processing to be employed will still be the same; it will consist of <br /> crushing,grinding and flotation. ALSH are working with Hazen Research (a world-class <br /> metallurgical research laboratory) from Golden, Colorado to optimize the flotation <br /> performance with new environmentally-friendly reagents,as the mill is re- <br /> commissioned. There will be only flotation circuit-related reagent chemicals used and <br /> stored onsite. There will be no leaching or leach chemicals used or kept onsite. The list <br /> of reagent chemicals,both dry and liquid,to be stored onsite is shown in the amended <br /> EPP. The datasheet information is in a supplement following the EPP. <br />
