Expected Results: Cultural resources are expected to be identified within the proiect
area but given the overall size, the number is expected to be low. The potential for a no
finding is high. The residual upland area has a lack of perennial water and other exploitable
resources. Use of the proiect area, if any, would have been ephemeral and unlikely to leave
a significant material signature. The literature review shows most previously recorded
cultural resources are located well away from the proiect along the creeks and in the basin
to the north. Previously inventoried portions of the ridge encountered little to no cultural
resources.
VI. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
27. Tetra Tech surveyed the full 4.3 acre project area to identify and document all
encountered cultural resources and to evaluate identified resources for inclusion on the
NRHP.
VII. FIELD METHODS
28. Definitions: Site A concentration of prehistoric artifacts of five or more items, a
concentration of 50 or more items from the same historic artifact or event (e.g., a broken
bottle) and a feature with associated artifacts, regardless of number.
IF Less than five prehistoric or 50 historic artifacts in one locale.
29. Describe Survey Method: A Tetra Tech archaeologist surveyed the entirety of the
previously un -inventoried proposed power line section. Survey transects were oriented
along both sides of the alignment centerline and spaced no more than 20 meters apart. The
