Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> The Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division) conducted a complete inspection in <br /> conjunction with a Partial Phase III bond release inspection for SL-4 on August 2nd and 3rd,2017 at the Peabody <br /> Sage Creek Mine; DRMS permit no. C-2009-087, operated by Peabody Sage Creek Mining,LLC (PSCM). On <br /> August 2nd,Miranda Blomquist with PSCM accompanied the the inspection. On August 3rd, for the bond release <br /> portion of the inspection the following persons were present: <br /> Tabetha Lynch,Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS) <br /> Miranda Blomquist,Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC <br /> Christine Belka, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement(OSMRE)#182 <br /> Steve Freese, Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners <br /> Alan Goldrich ❑Routt County Planning Department <br /> The weather was clear and hot. All areas of the mine were accessible.Maintenance items are bulleted below. The <br /> Sage Creek Mine is currently in Temporary Cessation. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage ❑Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> All ponds were holding water and all ponds were discharging. The broken pipe coming out of the bottom <br /> of Pond 2, as noted in the complete inspection in June 2017, is in need of repair. Sulfur odor was again noted. <br /> This water was not leaving the disturbance boundary or entering the creek at the time of inspection.
