Exhibit D (Cont) <br /> Mining Plan <br /> being imported to the site . The material on this site, ranges <br /> from 0 to 10+ feet deep. The upper 10 to 12 inches of topsoil <br /> where it exists will be salvaged for use in reclamation. The <br /> gravel is exposed on the old working face left on the north side <br /> when miring ended in the 1970 ' s and the working face being mined <br /> now. We will continue to work this face to the north, west and <br /> south to the permit line as shown on the MINING PLAN MAP. The mine <br /> floor will be on the underlying bedrock. <br /> The existing setback on the old mined area on the north and <br /> southwest sides are 5 feet or less . The proposed setbacks to be <br /> maintained around the northeast, east, and southeast sections <br /> will be 15 feet from the property line . <br /> This will be a single stage operation, limited to 25 . 12 <br /> acres or less at any-one-time . This will allow approximately <br /> 13 . 75 acres as a processing plant/stockpile area, approximately <br /> 9 . 60 acres for the active mining area and 1 . 78 acres as house <br /> area . As mining progresses around the property the bank slopes <br /> will be mined or shaped to the required grades where they are in <br /> their final location. This will reduce the amount of work that <br /> has to be done to reclaim the site . Reclamation will begin once <br /> we have enough room for the stockpiled material and the newly <br /> mired section, to be reclaimed so it will not have to be <br /> disturbed again. <br /> As mining progresses across the property the material will <br /> get deeper . This will allow us to mine into the gravel bank <br /> working into the deposit from the same elevation as the existing <br /> floor. The results leaving a level area that "daylights" out <br /> along the west side suitable for future development . A near <br /> vertical face will be worked as mining progresses . Slopes from <br /> the current surface to the mine floor will graded 3h to lv as <br /> mining progresses to the permit limits . <br /> When topsoil is encountered it will be stripped and <br /> stockpiled around the perimeter of the site or on the mine floor <br /> for use in reclamation. An average of 10 inches of salvaged <br /> topsoil will be placed on the slopes around the mined area . If <br /> the soil stockpiles remain undisturbed for more than one growing <br /> season a cover crop of Crested Wheatgrass will be planted at a <br /> rate of 3 . 0 lbs pls/200 Ft`' . <br /> Of the 25 . 12 acres ± in the permit area, approximately 10 . 67 <br /> acres + will be mined. There will be 0 . 73 acres + of setbacks <br /> 9 <br />
