Loamy -skeletal Torriorthents
can be salvaged for Topsoil throughout the "A" horizon surface layer, an average depth of
about 4 inches in the study area. This depth interval is entirely "suitable". Below about 4
inches, Torriorthents have 35 percent or more coarse fragments ("loamy -skeletal") and
SAR values up to 13 or more. This lower material of Torriorthents is not recommended for
salvage.
3.4Map Unit ESC: East Salt Creek Drainage
East Salt Creek is a perennial drainage that traverses from north to south along the west
edge of the project study area. East Salt Creek is incised about fifteen to twenty feet below
the adjacent alluvial terrace and will not be disturbed by mining -related activities, and it
was not sampled for laboratory analysis. East Salt Creek is composed of an active
-13-
