The roads were in good condition. There were no major <br />ruts or erosional issues spotted. <br /> <br />The Haul Road at the East Mine has remained in place to serve as an access road for the site. The road was in <br />good repair. There were no erosional issues noted. <br /> <br />The access roads at the Paonia loadout are a mix of paved and unpaved sections. There were no issues noted with <br />the paved sections. The unpaved sections of roads were in good repair and there were no ero sional issues or ruts <br />noted. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The West Mine (Photo 2) has been regraded to the approved post mining topography. The slopes were <br />well vegetated and stable. There were no rills or gullies identified. The East Mine has been regraded and <br />revegetated. The facilities benches at the East Mine are well vegetated and stable (Photo 3). There is a minor <br />slide to the east of the reclaimed portals bench. The slide has been closely monitored. There has n ot been any <br />significant movement since the slide was identified. Repairs to the slide are planned to occur in the summer of <br />2017. <br /> <br />The ROM Pile area has been reclaimed to the approved post mining topography and re-seed (Photo 4). The <br />reclaimed area was stable wit h no indications of erosion or damage. The vegetation at the site was growing well. <br /> <br />The precipitation from the winter and spring has supported plant growth. The West and East Mines have been <br />sprayed for weeds. Knapweed and thistle are the main noxio us weeds that have been sprayed for. During the <br />inspection of the site, sprayed weeds had showed signs or remission. The operator will continue to spray weeds as <br />they are identified. <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br /> There has been a minor slide at the East Mine identified in previous 2017 inspection reports. For more <br />information, please see the Reclamation Success section of this report. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> Identification signs are placed to the entrances to the West Mine, East Mine an d the Loadout (Photo 5). <br />The signs display the correct current information abo ut the operator and the permit.
