The attached revised mining map shows the permit boundaries and access road, <br />plus proposed mining phases, and areas to remain active for a longer time <br />(described in the paragraph above). The operator may disturb the proposed <br />mining phases in their numbered order, but the diversity of materials encountered <br />may dictate a different order, the phase numbers shown on the mining map are, <br />therefore, somewhat conceptual. <br />As fines are produced and/or other reject material is encountered, backfilling will <br />occur into the old pits, until the proper grade is reached, then topsoil will be <br />placed. Any highwalls that are along the exterior margin of the overall disturbed <br />area, or that do not adjoin another mining phase, will be sloped according to the <br />gradient in the reclamation plan. Highwalls will be reduced either by cut and fill, <br />or backfilled from above, to reclaim to the approved maximum 3H:1V final <br />reclamation slope gradient. It is anticipated that many of the old small pits will be <br />fully backfilled. <br />
