First is the loss of all that is a great place to live. By you bringing your
questionable mining project to our backyard you will be imposing all the noise, dust, traffic and general
destructive practices of mining to our homes. The mouth of the canyon is a natural amplifier for noise and the
worst place for industrial development. In the past the county has been more then generous in it accommodation
of this project by "mitigating" our right as residents to live in a peaceful, healthy and beautiful environment
. When I say mitigate I mean that the county disregards all our everyday living rights to allow you to insert a
mining operation in our lives. My neighbors and I have been through 10 years of this fiasco and find the whole
process borderline criminal. I mean what other business can you develop without a permit, destroy streams and
pond, create roads on someone else's property, put in a mill, and have it all permitted after the fact. Its a shame
the way the EPA, Board of Mining, and the county have allowed a "mining company" with no permits to
basically install a mining operation and have it all approved because they refused to stop this illegal
development in its tracks with heavy fines and reclamation at the start, instead of light to nonexistent fines and
