EXHIBIT E RECLAMATION PLAN
1. General Reclamation Plan
Ayers pit will disturb 5.0 acres of the permitted 11.20 acres as part of mining. Mining will
continue to the north of the current disturbed area. The entire mined area will be reclaimed
following the end of mine life. All reclaimed slopes will be graded to 3H: I V or shallower.
Table E -I Reclaimed Areas
Post Mine land Use Area (acres)
Full Mining Reclaimed (Mali
Reclaimed pastureland 5.0
Undisturbed/pre-law disturbance 6.2
Total
11.2
Map r represents the reclamation plan for the affected area after mining has been completed.
This is the reclamation plan used to guide bond planning in Exhibit L.
The post mine land use of this stage of mining will be pastureland overall reclamation areas.
Pastureland is the typical undisturbed land use in the area.
2. Topsoil Replacement
Stockpiled topsoil will be replaced on all disturbed areas at a depth of 6-12 inches. Native topsoil
removed during sand and gravel mining stored as on-site stockpiles will be used. The extent of
these areas will be dictated by the extent of mining. In all areas, topsoil will consist ofa
combination of stripped topsoil and fines from product processing. When product processing
fines are used, manure will be added to the processing fines at a rate of 20 tons per acre.
Mining and processing of roughly 40,000 tons a year is anticipated to generate roughly 12,000
tons (12,000 CY) of fines from the dredge piles. It is estimated that roughly 5400 CY of material
will be needed for topsoil and topsoil equivalent replacement activities in the worst case
reclamation scenario (see Exhibit L). During reclamation. all excess fines will be placed in the
bottom of the mining area below the final topsoiling depth. No material import will be necessary
for reclamation though the Operator may elect to import material for placement in excavated
Akers Pit December 2016 E-1
