WAGNME
Construction, Inc.
1850 E. I". Street, Craig, CO 81625
Phone & Fax (970) 824-2709
WagnerCorp@q.com
Trash, weeds and other debris that will interfere with seeding operations will be
removed(See attached Weed Management Plan). Seedbed will be adequately
loosened 4" to 6" deep and smoothed.
Discing and seed drilling or hand broadcasting will be done on contour. A grassland
drill with depth bands and seed box agitator, equipped with packing wheels will drill
seed across the slope. The drilled furrows will be less than 12" and seed will be
planted 1/4"to 1/2"deep.
2. Leveled and Cleared Hay Storage Plan
The post-mined use of the pit floor shall be existing in-situ aggregate surfacing for the
storage of hay. Approximate hay storage area is 7.84 acres. The floor area of the mine
will be excavated to a depth of sixty(60)' and graded with existing material to slope
to the South at a grade of not more than 1%. Mine floor will bear existing rock no
topsoil, overburden or seeding will occur in this area. The north boundary of the open
pit will be day lighted to the north.
3. Graveled Farm Equipment Storage
Non-excavated affected areas that are currently graveled for mining operations to the
southeast of the open pit will remain with existing gravel for farm equipment storage.
Estimated at approximately 11 acres. Existing contours are flat and free draining and
will remain.
After reclamation activities no buildings or mine related features will remain. No
topsoil, overburden or seeding will occur in this area. Existing sediment control
features controlling hydrologic balance and preventing off site damage will remain
providing for a stable configuration consistent with the proposed future land use.
All reclamation will be completed within five (5)years after the cessation of mining
operations and the board has been informed. Reclamation efforts will begin and be
ongoing on the west boundary with slope preparation during mining operations. Once
mining is completed the slopes of the Hay Storage area will receive final grade and the
mine floor graded to drain for hay storage. Contingent on slope and floor completion
Graveled Farm Equipment Storage will be graded to drain. Finally topsoil installation and
subsequent seeding will take place on the Reclaimed General Agricultural areas.
