WAGNME
Construction, Inc.
1850 E. I". Street, Craig, CO 81625
Phone & Fax (970) 824-2709
WagnerCorp@q.com
EXHIBIT E (6.4.5)—Reclamation Plan
It is the land owner's intent to use the post mine location for the storage of farm/ranch
equipment and hay. In order to comply, area will be defined as one of 3 area types.
1. Reclaimed General Agricultural Vegetation—9 f Acres
2. Leveled Cleared Hay Storage—7.84 Acres
3. Graveled Farm Equipment Storage— I I±Acres
1. Reclaimed General Agricultural Vegetation Plan
Pit Slopes—All slopes will be constructed at a 2 to I slope or flatter during mining
operations. Proposed depth of 60 feet results in a slope width of 135 feet. Slopes will
be roughened and contour furrows will be constructed with a dozer to minimize
erosion.. Estimated acreage of slope area is 4.6 acres. Because slopes are created as
mining progresses slope construction will be ongoing. After 400 linear feet of slopes
have been mined topsoil will be applied and revegetated in the October following.
Topsoil - Post mined reclamation at the Wagner Rock mine, will consist of top-
soiling all side slopes with approximately 4-6"of stockpiled topsoil material.
Estimated yardage of topsoil is 2000 cubic yards. Topsoil will be moved from the
topsoil stockpiles along the perimeter of the excavation to revegetation areas using
loaders and dump trucks or a D-9 Cat Dozer. Reclamation and revegetation of the 2
to 1 slopes within the excavation will have a 4-6" depth of topsoil, suitable for plant
growth medium applied to all exposed slopes. Within the Reclaimed General
Agriculture Vegetation Area approximately 3.98 acres previously covered by
stockpiled topsoil will be ripped 18-24"to remedy compaction and revegetated
leaving original topsoil in place. This area is located in the flat areas to the south of
the pit.
Seeding - Seeding will be conducted by drilling or hand broadcast at a rate directed
by USDA of 4.771b per acre. Seeding will be seasonal according to recommendation.
All areas of reclamation will be revegetated with a dry land seed mix in accordance
with USDA Recommendations (See seed mix attachment)
This seed has an approximate retail price of$6.0011b.
Fertilization - All vegetation reclamation areas will receive 18-46-0 fertilizer at a
rate of 2001bs. per acre using seed drill fertilizer combination unit Great Plains no till
drill with fertilizer applicator.
Erosion Control—Mulching is not necessary if revegetation is conducted in late fall
prior to snowfall. Erosion will be controlled by roughing, pocking, and contour
furrows. If mulching is necessary, weed free straw mulch will be applied at a rate of 2
tons per acre and crimped in place. Mulch will be applied to disturbed areas
immediately after seeding with wind velocities of 15 miles per hour or less. The
approximate area to be revegetated is 8.58 acres.
