Technical Revision 25, Rev. 1 Schwartzwalder Mine
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Cotter Corporation(N.S.L.)("Cotter") is submitting a request for Technical Revision 25 ("TR-
25") to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety("DRMS") to supplement both TR-23
and TR-24. This revision amends Cotter's Schwartzwalder Mine Permit (M-1977-300).
Regarding TR-23, Cotter is seeking permission to place approximately 7,200 cubic yards("cy")
of alluvial material that is also regulated by the Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment ("CDPHE") into the Minnesota Adit along with other materials specified in
Attachment F of TR-23. Regarding TR-24, Cotter is providing an amendment that includes
information describing new process tanks that were added to the New Water Treatment Plant
("NWTP") after TR-24 was approved by DRMS.
1.1 SUMMARY OF AMENDMENT TO TR-23
As stated above, Attachment F of TR-23 presents an inventory of materials to be placed into the
Minnesota Adit. This list excludes approximately 7,200 cy of material addressed in Cotter's
Radioactive Materials License ("RML") 369-06. Specifically, RML 369-06 presents three areas
regulated by the license (see Figure 1).
I- Figure 1-1: RML License Areas
` RML#3-RELEASED
4.
RML#2-ACTIVE
RML#1 -RELEASED
Mine Permit M-1977-300
Cotter Corporation(N.S.L.) 1 June 2017
